JOHN WOODBURY studied creative writing at the Unversity of California, Irvine (BA), and Indiana University, Bloomington (MFA), and taught corporate and creative writing at IU Bloomington for several years. In 1994 — with the advent of the dot-com domain and the commercial Internet — John became a Web developer, “wrapping HTML code around English prose” . . .

Through the ’90s, John served as Webmaster for IBM Data Management Solutions, pioneering many of the tactics of modern Web campaigns, including online leads channels, streaming videos and the first corporate webinars. After relocating from New York to San Francisco, he founded Econiverse, a boutique Web and content development shop that served global software and services firms, including Accenture, PricewaterhouseCoopers, CA Technologies, CenturyLink and other market leaders. John’s original branded content has been published dozens of times at the home page level of major websites (ibm.com, accenture.com, pwc.com, etc.) and his content strategies have enabled global firms to multiply traffic to their business unit websites, often by 10X or more.

Over the past two decades, John has authored technical sales proposals, internal sales collateral, white papers, intranet sites, email campaigns, strategy recommendations, and all types of social media. Today, he focuses on writing and delivering branded content and media projects for high-growth firms, especially projects requiring the creation of a diverse range of documents and multiple media types, as an element of integrated marketing campaigns. He works virtually — traveling as needed — and has successfully managed hundreds of complex projects in multi-vendor environments.
